Sailor Moon fanart!
I was feeling nostalgic and I was so happy about the fact that there will be a Sailor Moon remake in 2013... I just had to draw some fanart!
The Sailor Moon anime meant so much to me when I grew up, and I will always have a special place for it in my heart!
Sailor Neptune and Uranus are two of my favorites, but my BIGGEST favorite has always been Sailor Moon.
I felt very connected to her in so many ways when watching the series. We're both kind of idiots, and we tend to fall in love quite easily XD We both get attached to stuff and people, and we're not that good in school... (not as good as our friends at least)
Also I'm a cancer and my sign is the moon

I was going to draw a compleatly different angle at first. Some kind of full body profile, but then I changed my mind, because I don't think I challange myself enough with my art nowdays... so I tried this angle instead, and I like it! XD

I liked Mercury more when I was a kid because she was smart and shy (kinda like me) but the older I got the more I liked Mars for how no-nonsense and kickass she is. I guess that when I grew out of my calmer, shyer stage I kinda changed my favourite too... but I still like Mercury A LOT x'D So I guess I can't really decide.
I truly, truly hate Venus though x'D Or did when I was a kid for some reason. Now I just dislike her.
It's a really awesome picture anyway. The angle and pose looks great!
And I love the shading and how the colours reflect on each other ^_^

But in the end I've always felt most like Sailor Moon. Being a bit of an airhead, falling in love a lot, and caring a lot for friends and family.
I don't dislike Venus I think. XD Don't feel much about her in general really...
If there's a sailor soldier that I didn't like much, it was Sailor Pluto. Maybe it's because we never see her much in action. I like her design, but other than that I think she's boring.
I think that it's pretty fascinating that most girls can find at least one sailor soldier to identify with. So while I do think that Sailor Moon is way too hyped up now (because it's not very good when you get down to it) I think that it's a good thing to have in your background or something.
I've never really seen Pluto except during one episode I watched in German. Aaaaand that didn't make much sense because I was like... eleven. So I have no idea what she's like
But I have the entire anime on my external harddrive so I might just find out eventually, if I ever get to the point where I watch the entire thing.
