EDIT2: Hi again! After long sleep I thought I should rant some more about Eurovision! XD Cause I think it's really fun (if you think it's boring I'm sorry ) Thanks for voting on Sweden all of you who did! You made Eric Super Happy! XD
And I hope you didn't miss that Danny gave our points last night? AND HE WORE A FREEKING ERIC SAADE T-SHIRT! XD Way to go Danny! You know what fanservice is!!
You can watch it here: [link] (It's so funny, he's even stroking the shirt tenderly! XD)
Such a happy couple they are! Haha!
They both have girlfriends but who cares XD
Their whole history can be summed up with this video: [link] X3
Oh well! So what did I think about the rest of the songs? I will not talk about ALL songs, just the ones I liked (and some that I didn't like ) My opinions are about the songs, never about the country itself.
So first the winner!
Azerbaijan - I will not lie, I was very surprised that they won. It's not a bad song, but I don't like it as much as their song last year. I don't think it's a winner song, but still a nice tune to listen to sometime
Finland - My personal favorite that I voted twice for! I can't for my life understand why people didn't like Finlands song as much as I did I thought Paradise Oskar was adorable and the song was so sweet.
Norway - Why were you not in the finals dammit!? *tears of sadness*
Denmark - I'm sorry. Everytime I heard Denmarks song I got annoyed cause I think it's sounds like a pale version of Andreas Jonsson's Sing for me; [link]
Ireland - The twins are so adorable! I can't stop smiling when looking at them! The song is catchy and I honestly thought they would do better (or even win)
Hungary - A pretty good song! I'm still singing it for myself one day after the contest (and that says a lot since I hardly remember any other songs from the contest XD)
Greece - W... T... H? I don't see why people voted for Greece? Can someone explain to me? The song was boring, and the rapper is without a doubt the worst rapper I've ever heard! The singer was good, but it would have been better if they fired the rapper and made a new song.
UK - I love Blue <3 and I really like the song... just not live. Sure they can sing, but it just wasn't that good live. I love the studio version though.
Italy - No... I thought it was good untill the singer started singing! And they took our second place! Damn you Italy! Haha!
France - A young Josh Groban? The song was pretty... but it turned boring pretty fast.
Germany - Lena is good, and I like the song. But I just didn't get excited listening to it... O.O Maybe it's just because she won last year. I wanted to see some new singer from Germany.
Thanks Germany for hosting ESC 2011! It was fun even though I wanted to strangle your presenters at times. ಠ___ಠ The Green Room was amasing though!
So guys? Did you watch ESC? And if so, did you have any favorites?
EDIT: The contest is over, and Azerbaijan won! I'm a little dissapointed since Sweden was on top for some time, but oh well... XD We got an awesome third place at least! X3
Did you see Danny (the cutie who gave the swedish votes), he had a Eric Saade t-shirt! Sooooo made my day!! Oh btw, go join their fanclub;
I have so much I want to say about ESC this year, but I'm tired as hell, so I will wait with the rant untill tomorrow.
Thanks and good night people! Take care!
Sweden got to the Eurovision Song Contest Finals!! You have NO IDEA how scared I was when there was only one Final spot left! I thought it was over... and then the announcer called out Sweden! XDD Damn you ESC for almost giving me a heart attack!
Make sure to vote for our cutie tonight! And oh! Before I forget! For all of you who don't live in Europe and want to watch ESC, you can watch it here: [link]
Wanna know something else that's awesome! Sweden and Finland will have a SHOWDOWN at the World Championships in Ice Hockey tomorrow!! Another Husband and Wife battle! XD So awesome!
Depending on who wins, I will draw a SuFin-drawing reflecting the results
O well, now I'm returning to spend the rest of the night with my family. X3 They are still here, and they are forcing me to watch Desperate Housewives. It's not so bad though, I really like the show! It's so addicting...
Hehe.. I feel the same as you about Greece and Italy. xD Lol second place for Italy.. "you make me feel so.. GOEEOOOEOEOOEOEOOOOD" -_-; But Greece had the best looking man in the contest! I think that might have boosted their points.
I would have liked to see more points for Austria. She was one of the best singers there I think.
France made me laugh xD I though that guy is unique.
I think sending Lena again was a thank you from our country to her. We were like, about to drop ESC when she came and rocked it. We were all aware that she would never win twice, but to be honest, we don't have anybody else to send either >>; (look at the contests 2009 and before, ahem...) But she was better than Italy if you ask me xD
About Finland. I totally disagree x_x seeing that stupid smile saying "Oh you know you wanna vote for me because I pretend to be sooo innocent and cute while really I am not smooch smooch (and I fail looking cute and simply look as if I am in love with myself)" made me kinda agressive. And the song, oh come on, Finland.. could it be any more "We wanna win SO hard that we jump onto the save-the-planet-train!"?
I must also say that Sweden didn't knock me off my feet xD It was just.. trying a little too hard. It was kinda like Russia with brown hair and no "ALEX" Blinkies.
I liked Azerbaijan, really. And they were in the top places so often, they deserve the cup! c:
I also liked Spain, but am aware that she never had a chance xD
So far my opinion c: And about our hosts: Even when trying to take a neutral view on all the ESC shows I remember, the German one was the best. I never had as much fun and I think Stefan Raab ist the most talented entertainer our country has. Anke Engelke is one of our best comedians, but she didn't get to show her funny side as much, and as for Judith erm.. I think 80% of people from Germany watching the show never even heard her name before this ._. I didn't.
